Athens dentist office giving away $10,000 smile makeover

A new smile can change a person’s life. As a dentist, Dr. Trella Dutton knows that better than most anyone, and that is why she and her team at Limestone Smiles of Athens is giving away a free smile makeover.

“Having a beautiful, healthy smile that you’re proud to show off is important in making great first impressions and having increased self-esteem,” Dutton said.

Between now and Sept. 21, those interested in improving their smile should send their story and a photo of their smile to www.MyFreeSmile.org.

“With My Free Smile, we hope to positively impact the life of the chosen candidate by not only increasing his or her self-confidence, but improving their oral health in the process.”

According to the My Free Smile website, a bright new smile is not only aesthetically pleasing “but smile makeovers also positively impact oral health. Tooth decay and periodontal disease untreated can lead to more severe issues such as tooth loss. Periodontal disease has also been linked to other medical issues such as diabetes, stroke, oral cancer and heart disease.”

The winner will be announced approximately two weeks after the contest, at which point they will be awarded a smile makeover worth up to $10,000. Given the extensive nature of the procedure, the makeover will be completed over an extended period of time.

Limestone Smiles of Athens will reveal the winner’s new smile once the makeover is finished.
