Local Extension to host workshop on pests

The Limestone County Extension Office will soon host a three-part pest management workshop, according to a press release.

The workshops are set for 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Extension office, 1109 W. Market St., Athens. Each class is $10.

Topics are as follows:

• May 17: Garden and landscape diseases;

• May 24: Common insect pests in the South; and

• May 31: Weed control in your home lawn.
