Essie Inez Clemmons
Funeral arrangements for Essie Inez Clemmons, 92, of Anderson will be announced by Spry Funeral Home. Ms. Clemmons died Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence.
Robert Dexter Greenhaw
A memorial service for Robert Dexter Greenhaw, 52, of Athens will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Friendship United Methodist Church multipurpose building with Dr. Calvin Havens and Steve Dorning officiating and McConnell Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be from noon to 2:45 p.m. Friday at the multipurpose building.
Mr. Greenhaw died Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at home.
Mr. Greenhaw was born Feb. 15, 1955, in Athens to Dub and Edna Greenhaw. He retired after 27 years as band director in the North Alabama area. He was the music director for 17 years at Friendship United Methodist Church. He played with the musical group Denim for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife Cindy of Athens; two sons, Zach Greenhaw of Snellville, Ga., and Ian Greenhaw of Athens; his mother, Edna Greenhaw of Athens; one brother, John Greenhaw of Athens; and one granddaughter, Allie Grace Greenhaw.
He was preceded in death by his father and three sisters, Jean Sharpe, Jane Patterson and Barbara Lipham.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County or Friendship United Methodist Building Fund.
Ronnie Holland
Funeral arrangements for Ronnie Holland, 63, of Athens will be announced by Spry Funeral Home. Mr. Holland died Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at his home.
Max Mabry LeCroix
The funeral for Max Mabry LeCroix, 88, of Athens will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Spry Funeral Home with Warren Glass and Kasey Harbin officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. LeCroix died Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
He was born July 21, 1918, in Limestone County. Mr. LeCroix was a member of Valley View Church of Christ and retired from the Limestone County Commission as a District 3 commissioner. He was a former police officer for the city of Rogersville, Athens Police Department, and the Limestone County Sheriff’s Department. He was preceded in death by his wife, Icie Mae LeCroix; grandson, Bryan Burroughs; brothers, Milton LeCroix, Charlie LeCroix and Mahlon LeCroix; and sister, Mary Jane Locke.
Survivors include one son, Bobby LeCroix of Athens; two daughters, Shelby Isbell and Patsy Burroughs, both of Athens; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Florence Russell of Athens, Era Mae Parker of Madison, and Martha Ann Roberts and Catherine Riethmaier, both of Decatur; one brother, Joe LeCroix of Athens; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Brad Burroughs, Jeff Isbell, Kenneth Johnson, Derril Robertson, Jerry McGlocklin, Bill Parker and Steve Knott.
Bernice Mobley
Funeral arrangements for Bernice Mobley, 97, of Athens will be announced by McConnell Funeral Home. Mrs. Mobley died Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at Athens Convalescent Center.
