Funeral Sunday for Tuskegee attorney Jock Smith

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — A funeral is scheduled Sunday at Alabama State University’s Acadome for well-known Tuskegee attorney Jock Smith.

Smith was co-founder and president of The Cochran Firm, started with the late Johnnie Cochran. Smith died Jan. 8 at his Montgomery home.

A spokesman for Smith’s law firm says visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday at Ross Clayton Funeral Home in Montgomery, and the funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at ASU’s arena.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Jock M. Smith Memorial Scholarship Fund at Tuskegee University.
