James William McNeese

The funeral for James William McNeese, 62, of Elkmont will be at 3 p.m. today at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Mickey Buford officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore, Ala.

Mr. McNeese died Saturday, March 31, 2007, at Hillside Hospital in Pulaski, Tenn.

He was born Jan. 22, 1945, in Huntsville to Jesse Vernon and Clara Mae Ellis McNeese. He was a native of Ardmore and lived there most of his life. He was the owner of McNeese Glass in Huntsville for 20 years. He loved hunting and playing with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Clifton McNeese, Donald McNeese, Wendell McNeese and Alton McNeese; and one sister, Shelia McNeese.

He is survived by two daughters, Daphne Leanette Barnes and husband Keith of Ardmore and Suzie Moore and husband Greg of Athens; two sisters, Jessie Wales and husband Doug of Ardmore and Barbara Wales of Athens; five grandchildren, Hunter, Kaitlynn and Logan James Moore and Brian and Kelsey Barnes; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Steven McNeese, Dwight McNeese, Chuck McNeese, Mickey McNeese, Heath McNeese and Brian Wright.



Evelyn Graham Pugh

The funeral for Evelyn Graham Pugh, 88, of Athens will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Brother Doug McCurry officiating. Burial will be in Dement Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Pugh died Monday, April 2, 2007, at Athens Convalescent Center.

She was born Aug. 8, 1918, in Limestone County to Ivan Graham and Bama Legg Graham. Mrs. Pugh was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by one son, James E. Pugh of Toney; one daughter-in-law, Jean Pugh of Toney; four grandchildren, Dennis Pugh of Toney; Terry Pugh of Athens, Teresa Blackwell of Athens and Randal Pugh of Elkmont; several great-grandchildren.



Gary Wayne Roberson;

The funeral for Gary Wayne Roberson, 58, of Mansfield, Texas, and formerly of Limestone County, was at 8:30 a.m. Monday at Blessing Funeral Home of Mansfield, Texas. Burial was at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Texas.

Mr. Roberson was born June 2, 1948, to C.A Roberson and Alice Roberson. He graduated from Tanner High School in 1966 He retired from General Motors after 30 years. He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Roberson; one son, Jay Roberson of Okemos, Mich.; one daughter, Ami Huggler of Lynnville, Ind.; and 10 grandchildren; her mother, Alice Roberson of Athens; two brothers, Mary Roberson and Cushie Roberson, both of Athens; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins from Athens.

Pallbearers will be Franklin Roberson, Tony Brewer, Steven Phillips, Rodney Phillips, Matthew Phillips and Chris Phillips.
