Carol Ann Bedingfield Hatfield
The funeral for Carol Ann Bedingfield Hatfield, 71, of Decatur, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22 at Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church with Father Ray Remke officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery with Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Hatfield died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, at home.
Mrs. Hatfield was born and raised in Chicago, Ill. She moved to Alabama in 1963. She was a wonderful and loving mother of six. She was actively involved with her family and a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Athens and after moving to Decatur, St. Ann’s Catholic Church presently known Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church. She made everyone around her smile, with her innocent humor.
She was preceded in death by her oldest son, David Brian Bedingfield in 2002.
She is survived by four daughters, Carol Ann Al-Hammadi and husband Ali of Saudi Arabia, Bonnie Lee Waldrep and husband Tim of Moulton, Laurie Sue Burt and husband Alan of Hazel Green, Julie Ann Bedingfield of Las Cruces, N.M.; one son, Alton Wheeler Bedingfield of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, Dennis Cabanski and wife Madeline of Chicago, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers Pedro Caruello, Del Smith, Angel Awpan, Jene Rutsy, and Nickey Georgano.
