Athens man dies in workplace accident

An Athens man was killed in a workplace accident at Cullman Casting Corporation in Cullman Thursday night at about 11 p.m.

Cullman County Coroner Jeremy Kilpatrick, identified the man as Michael Thompson, 38.

No further information is available as law enforcement continues to investigate.
