Athens man killed in Thursday night crash

An Athens man was killed Thursday in a one-vehicle crash on Elkton Road, troopers said.

Stanley Ross Morris, 34, was the driver of a 1995 Dodge Ram pickup that left the road and overturned 3 miles north of Athens. The crash occurred at 7:50 p.m.

Troopers said Morris was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further information was available. Troopers said the crash is under investigation.
