City of Athens Relay for Life Celebrity Waiters Night
Date & Time — April 29 from 5:30-8 p.m.
Location — Applebee’s (1331 U.S. Highway 72 East, Athens, AL 35611)
Tip your favorite celebrity waiter as they compete to see who can raise the most funds for the American Cancer Society!
Celebrity waiters are: Athens Mayor Ronnie Marks, Athens Football Coach Cody Gross, Athens Officer Michael Stainbrook, Athens Firefighter Brinten Barclay, Athens Florist owner Matthew Jimmerson, Ardmore graduate and daughter of the late Kathy Cothren, Emma Prier, and community volunteers Jackie Jackson and Kay Burlingame.
Chicken Dinner at the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Rogersville
Date & Time — May 1 from 5-6:30 p.m.
Location — The church’s Family Life Center on U.S. Highway 72 in Rogersville
The dinner features smoked chicken, baked beans, cole slaw, rolls, and homemade desserts. Tickets are $15 and proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.
Athens-Limestone Hospital Care Bears Relay Team Zaxby’s Night
Date & Time — May 12 from 5-8 p.m.
Location — Zaxby’s (221 French Farms Boulevard, Athens, AL 35611)

Courts Against Cancer Pickleball Tournament — City of Athens Relay for Life
Date — June 7
Location — Big Spring Memorial Park (350 Market Street East, Athens, AL 35611)
This round robin pickleball tournament is presented by Athens Gas and Athens Electric alongside the City of Athens Relay for Life Team. Registration fee is $35, with proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society. Register online at pickleballtournaments.com.
