Lindsay Lane’s season came to a close Thursday following a second-round sweep at the hands of visiting Class 2A No. 5 Sumiton Christian.

Austin Hubbard powered the Eagles (24-7) in the opener. scattering three hits and 14 strikeouts on the mound. He also provided a two-run home run in the 3-0 victory.

Sumiton Christian continued its strong play in the nightcap, using a six-run fourth inning to fuel a 10-0 win. Colton Glass surrendered just two hits and struck out nine.

Wyatt Wallace (6.1 IP, 4 H, 6 K) pitched well for Lindsay Lane in Game 1. He and Sam Jackson each recorded two hits in the series for the Lions (19-17).
