TUSKEGEE, Ala. (AP) — An Alabama man wanted in a fatal shooting at a McDonald’s restaurant is in custody.
News outlets report that 23-year-old Jamal Brown turned surrendered Sunday night at the Tuskegee Police Department.
Authorities had been looking for him since a teenager was shot to death at a McDonald’s in Tuskegee on Saturday night. Officials say 18-year-old Cedric Howard of Tuskegee was shot several times at the restaurant.
Macon County Coroner Hal Bentley says Howard walked into the restaurant and began talking to the shooting suspect. Bentley says a dispute then broke out, and the suspect pulled a gun and shot Howard multiple times.
Court records don’t yet show any charges against Brown.
