- Lindsay Lane Christian Academy's preschool and Mommy Morning Out groups entered a "Cat in the Hat" scarecrow for Isom's Orchard's annual contest, netting $200 and a third-place ribbon.
The winners of Isom’s Orchard’s annual scarecrow contest stand Tuesday alongside U.S. 72 East at the orchard. Athens Limestone Counseling Center won first place with their “E=mcCrow2” entry, netting a $400 prize. Lindsay Lane Christian Academy’s fifth-graders won $300 for their “Dauphin Island or Bust” entry, while LLCA’s preschool and Mommy’s Morning Out programs won $200 for their “Cat in the Hat” entry. Orchard visitors could request free tickets to use in voting for their favorite scarecrow.
