County school board: Personnel actions

The Limestone County Board of Education approved a final round of personnel actions Aug. 7, which included new contracts, retirements, resignations, transfers and new personnel. The seven-member board, excluding Charles Shoulders who was absent, approved the following actions:
New contracts

• Lynn Hodges, Title I intervention teacher, Tanner Elementary School, paid $27 per hour not to exceed $1,350, funded by Title I, effective Aug. 20-31, 2018;
• Lisa Kelley, Title I intervention teacher, Tanner Elementary School, paid $27 per hour not to exceed $1,350, funded by Title I, effective Aug. 20-31, 2018;
• Renita Kelley, Title I intervention teacher, Tanner Elementary School, paid $27 per hour not to exceed $1,350, funded by Title I, effective Aug. 20-31, 2018;
• Amy Caraballo, Title I intervention teacher, Sugar Creek Elementary School, paid $27 per hour not to exceed $1,775, funded by Title I, effective Aug.-31, 2018;
• Amy Goff, Title I intervention teacher, Johnson Elementary School, paid $27 per hour not to exceed $945, funded by Title I, effective Aug. 10-31, 2018;
• Kerry Cox, Title I intervention teacher, Johnson Elementary School, paid $27 per hour not to exceed $621, funded by Title I, effective Aug. 10-31, 2018;

• Deshana Peoples, instructional assistant, Tanner High School, resigning retroactive to July 31, 2018; and
• Alexander Toll, science, Ardmore High School, resigning retroactive to July 31, 2018;
Transfers
• Elvira Thrasher, child nutrition program worker, Tanner High School, transferring to special education, Ardmore High School, replacing Callie Byrd effective Aug. 8, 2018; and
• Delicia Sharp, school nurse, Elkmont Elementary School/Elkmont High School, transferring to lead nurse assistant at Central Office effective Aug. 8, 2018.
New personnel
• Maria Wales, CNP worker, Tanner High School, replacing Elvira Thrasher;
• Caroline Darracott, third grade, Creekside Elementary School, replacing Savanna Evans;
• Christine Ake, instructional assistant, Tanner High School, new position, funded by Title I; and
• Jane Smith, custodian, Ardmore High School, replacing Aleshia Barnes.
