Students in Athens and Limestone County school districts show their support for the Parkland, Florida, shooting victims through various activities and assemblies Wednesday. Students at Athens High School stand before an Acts of Kindness Wall with one side devoted to ideas and the other to accomplishments. City schools wrote the following message on its Facebook page: “We couldn’t be prouder of our truly incredible students. #oneAthens.” Limestone County students in grades 3–5 review anti-bullying strategies and are encouraged to “Take a Stand, Lend a Hand.” Limestone schools posted the following message on its Facebook page: “Limestone County School students demonstrated tremendous respect and reverence during today’s Students Against Violence sessions.”
