County schools to be delayed 2 hours Thursday

Limestone County Schools will start two hours later Thursday, Jan. 4, according to a school official.

Thursday will be the system’s first day back in session after Christmas break.

The decision was based on the “impact of extreme temperatures to our students, buildings and bus fleet,” said Karen Tucker, the school system’s director of technology and public relations.
