UPDATED: Crews continue to work scene of U.S. 72 crash

Rescue personnel work to extricate a female driver from a Nissan Sentra Wednesday following a multivehicle crash on U.S. 72 near the intersection of Seven Mile Post Road. At least two people were sent to hospitals via helicopter and at least one was taken to Huntsville Hospital via ambulance to Huntsville Hospital. The News Courier is working to confirm an earlier report of a fatality. We will have more information as it becomes available.
