Heavy police presence at Huntsville elementary school after report of shooting

Huntsville police officers and deputies with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office are on the scene at Williams Elementary School in Huntsville.

Huntsville Police Spokesman Lt. Stacey Bates said a call came into the 911 call center reporting a shooting at the school. He said officers are clearing the building room by room, but no evidence of a shooting has been found.

He plans to update the media when the search is complete.
