The Athens Middle School student who appeared today on “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” correctly answered four questions to win $3,000 so far.

Connor Higgins appeared toward the end of today’s show, so he will return tomorrow.

The show airs locally at 11:30 a.m. on WAFF-TV.

One of Connor’s questions was how to spell “misspelled.”

He was uncertain, so he used one of his four life lines: Ask the “plus-one” who came with him, ask the audience, knock out half the answers or skip the question.

Connor decided to ask the audience. More than 60 percent of the audience guessed incorrectly and more than 30 percent guessed correctly. Conner was skeptical of the majority’s answer, so he used another life line and skipped the question.
