Barbara Jean Brunson Cobb, 56, of Athens, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016, at her residence.

Ms. Cobb was born April 2, 1959, in Grant County, Indiana, to Wilbur Esper Brunson and Nancy Shelby Dean Robinson Brunson.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Ray Blankenship officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, from 11a.m. – 1:45 p.m., prior to the service.

The loves of her life were her children and grandchildren. Barbara was a Christian, an avid Alabama fan and she loved Elvis Presley. She was a beautiful person with a beautiful heart.

Preceded in death by her father, Wilbur Brunson; one sister, Janice Lynn Brunson; and one nephew, Stacy Lewis.

Survivors include daughter, Samantha Cobb Nalley and husband, Jason, of Athens; son, Jeffrey Wayne Cobb and Ashley Behel of Russellville; grandson, Jaxon Wayne Nalley, of Athens; mother, Nancy Brunson, of Athens; five sisters, Diana Lewis and husband, Michael, Nadine Brunson, Becky McClear and husband Rob, all of Athens, Christine Smith fiancé Hill of Tuscaloosa and Pamela Brunson Hastings, of Athens; brothers, Dewayne Brunson, of Athens, and Robert Brunson and wife, Peggy, of Elkmont; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Dewayne Brunson, Jason Nalley, Jason Perry, Justin Miller, Johnny Carter, Christian Clemmons and Jeffery Cobb. Honorary pallbearers will be brothers and sisters.
