Backyard Barbecue camp
Limestone County 4-H is sponsoring the Backyard Barbecue Class from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday at the Extension Office for students ages 9-13. Students will learn about basic outdoor cooking skills and food safety, how to successfully barbecue chicken, and how to cook a variety of foods outdoors. Cost of $15 includes lunch. Evans Cemetery decoration

A Meadows family reunion will be from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Isom’s Chapel Church at 16230 Mooresville Road. Children’s games begin at 11 a.m. Bring a dish for a lunch at noon. Silent auction begins at 11 a.m., and bidding closes at 1:30 p.m. Plans for next year will be discussed at 2 p.m. and cleanup begins at 3 p.m.
