WETUMPKA, Ala. (AP) — The Elmore County Sheriff’s Office says two teens are in the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old in Wetumpka.
Elmore County Sheriff Bill Franklin says 18-year-old Eric Palmore and 17-year-old Tireck Cameron are charged with murder in the Sunday night death of Darnelle Jackson.
Jail records show the two were being held in the Elmore County Jail under bonds of $75,000 each.
Chief Deputy Ricky Lowery says Palmore and Jackson got into an argument after Palmore and Cameron drove up in a car.
Franklin says Palmore fired four times, hitting Jackson twice.
Reports show that Palmore let Cameron out of the car so he could go home, where he was arrested without incident, while Lowery says Palmore was captured after a chase.
