Hospital to host health fair Friday

To celebrate National Hospital Week, May 10-16, Athens-Limestone Hospital is hosting a health fair at Waddell Center Family Medicine on Friday, May 15 from noon to 3 p.m. Hospital staff will offer free screenings for blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol, and body fat analysis.
May is also Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month — time to start a lifelong habit of examining your skin.
Athens-Limestone Hospital and Dermatologist Dr. Stephen Mallette will offer free skin cancer screenings also on May 15. The screening is also at Waddell Center Family Medicine from noon to 3 p.m. The screenings are offered on a first come, first seen basis — no appointment is necessary.

The National Hospital Week 2009 theme, “A Healthy Commitment in Changing Times,” emphasizes that hospitals, even in times of economic crisis and change, put patients first.
