County arrests
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests Tuesday, some of which may be the result of grand jury indictments:
• Thomas Devoy Coleman, 24, 12742 Mayfield Road, Athens, probation violation for third-degree burglary.
• Monica Marie Denton, 44, 263 Albright Drive, Huntsville, driving under the influence of alcohol.
• Amy Carissa Elam, 27, 2154 Westbury Court, S.W., Decatur, third-degree burglary.
• Edward Thomas Ferguson II, 19, 12190 Brownsferry Road, Athens, unlawful breaking and entering of a vehicle.
• Glenn Javon Hall, 21, 4524 County Road 42, Akron, public intoxication.
• Karen Maddox Haynes, 46, 22168 Menowa Trail, Athens, public intoxication and resisting arrest.
• Marcia Shenee Holmes, 35, 1603 Thomas Drive, Decatur, speeding, driving with suspended license and DUI.
• Andrew Tyler Jones, 18, 27584 Miller Lane, Elkmont, breaking and entering of a vehicle, and probation violations for illegal possession of prohibited liquor, public intoxication, and second-degree illegal possession of marijuana.
• Christopher Raymond Lewis, 19, 107 Whitfield Drive, Athens, sales of drugs to a minor.
• James William Malone, 35, 17083 Matthew Way, Apt. 29, Athens, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and public intoxication.
• Stanley Ross Morris Jr., 24, 21534 Yarbrough Road, Athens, possession of a controlled substance.
• Joshua Lloyd Patterson, 19, 17083 Matthew Way, Apt. 20, Athens, sale of drugs to minor.
City arrests
The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Tuesday, some of which may be the result of grand jury indictments:
• Billy Jay Moran, 23, of 121 S. Cherokee St., Florence, resisting arrest, public intoxication.
County thefts
• Two air-conditioners, two electric heaters, antique wash base with bowl, miscellaneous pottery and old dolls, no value given, stolen between April 28 and Friday from Highway 53 Storage.
• Two blank checks stolen from the 28000 block of Alabama 99 between Sept. 24, 2007, and April 28.
• Mossburg .410 shotgun, no value given, stolen between Jan. 1 and April 29, from a residence on U.S. 72 West.
• Two Stihl chainsaws, five tool boxes with hand and electric tools, total value $1,000, stolen in Thursday or Friday burglary from the 25000 block of North Street in Mooresville.
• Plastic tote containing clothing and a metal stand, total value $795, stolen in a April 11 5o May 2 burglary from the 25000 block of 7th St., Ardmore.
• Craftsmen mitre saw, socket set, two John Deer sockets, and crafts tap and die, total value $1,025 stolen from a farm shed in the 25000 block of North St., Mooresville, between April 30 and Saturday.
• Miscellaneous power tools and electronic equipment, valued at $4,000, stolen from Bay Side Storage and Bay Hill Marina, between February and Sunday.
City thefts
• A cell phone valued at $100 and $5 in change were taken Sunday from a car on Piney Creek Drive.
• Gasoline valued at $13.95 was taken Monday in a gas drive-off from a station on U.S. 72.
• A checkbook was taken Monday from Goody’s Family Clothing.
• A satellite radio of undetermined value was taken Monday from a car on Troon Drive.
• A car tag was taken Monday from a car on Hine Street.
Wrecks
• One person was reported injured in a two-vehicle accident Monday at U.S. 31 and Forrest Street. Drivers Nathan Duane Craig of Athens and Alford Andrew Coleman of Elkmont were not injured, according to an Athens Police Department report. Passenger Dannika Brooke Craig, 24, of Athens was reported injured, according to the report, but Athens-Limestone Hospital had no record of treatment, a spokeswoman said.
Hospital report
Athens-Limestone Hospital reported one admission and no discharges Tuesday.
Admitted was Mavis Smith of Ardmore.
