A Huntsville man was improving Friday night in the surgical intensive care unit at Huntsville Hospital after his vehicle overturned on Interstate 565 and fell 25 feet into a creek near Mooresville.

Jeremy Millich, 26, was taken by ambulance to Huntsville Hospital, where he was treated for head and other injuries.

He was listed in good condition Friday night after being upgraded from serious condition Thursday night, a spokeswoman said.

According to a Huntsville police report, Millich had just exited Interstate 65 onto Interstate 565 about 9:30 p.m. Thursday night when he clipped a 2003 GMC Yukon driven by Brad Hall, 40, of Huntsville.

Millich lost control, went airborne, rolled over a concrete barrier and landed about 25 feet below in Piney Creek. Millich was ejected and landed in the water along with his 2005 Ford Explorer, according to the report.

Hall and his passengers, wife Holly, two girls and a brother-in-law, were not injured.

Millich was not tested for alcohol at the scene due to his injuries, according to the police report. His vehicle was a total loss.

Hall tested negative for alcohol and was able to drive his vehicle home, according to the report.
