Bank celebrates 15th anniversary

Citizens Bank & Trust, which has offices in Elkmont and Rogersville, recently celebrates its 15th anniversary, according to a press release.

The bank offers several products, including checking that earns interest, competitive technology and “excellent service” to its customers, the release said.

Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Guntersville, Citizens Bank & Trust has grown to almost $480 million in assets. It has eight full-service locations in North Alabama, a loan production office, mortgage department and a wealth management division.

“When communities have a local bank, their economy does a lot better,” said founder Mike Allred. “Decisions are made locally, money is loaned locally and is then reinvested into that community.”

The bank launched an employee volunteer program last June.

“Giving back is a deep part of the culture at our Bank, not only in the form of monetary donations but also in the form of volunteer hours,” said President and CEO Charlie Williams.
