An Olympic feat
Nine-year-old Mikael Barager, of Elkmont Elementary School, competes in the tennis ball toss at the Limestone County Special Olympics with help from his school aide, Trudy Romine. Baragner, who is vision impaired, also competed in the 50-meter assisted walk. The annual Special Olympics track and field event was Friday morning at Athens Stadium. Many special needs students from schools in Athens and Limestone County, as well as adults from the Birdie Thornton Center, took part in the games.
