Carter joins First National Bank

Athens native Toyna Carter has joined First National Bank as part of its lending team, according to a press release.

Carter has more than 20 years of experience, the release said.

She currently serves as an ambassador for the Greater Limestone County Chamber of Commerce, secretary for Athens Civitan Club and serves on the advisory board of Limestone County Schools.

Carter is also a past board member for Greater Limestone Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau. She has chaired committees for the March of Dimes and American Heart Association.

“Toyna has spent endless hours volunteering in different areas of the community from tornado relief to the Athens Christmas parade,” the release said.

Carter and her husband Tim have a daughter, Jessica, who is currently pursuing a business degree from Calhoun.

“We are excited to add someone with Toyna’s experience and expertise to our team in Athens and Limestone County,” said Steve Smith, senior vice president. “Her years of experience as a true community banker fits perfectly in our model of providing our customers with a level of service that exceeds their expectations along with a commitment to making the communities we serve a better place.”
