Thief steals, burns motorcycle following Limestone break-in
A thief broke into a Limestone County business last week, stole a motorcycle belonging to an employee and set it ablaze, an official said Tuesday.
“We have a suspect but the matter is still under investigation,” said Limestone County Sheriff’s Chief Investigator Capt. Stanley McNatt.
The suspect is wanted on charges of criminal mischief and burglary, he said.
The break-in occurred between 5 p.m Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday at Madison Turf Keeper in the 13000 block of Brian Hill Road.
The thief broke into the store, stole a 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle valued at $8,500, pushed it into a burn pile and set it on fire, McNatt said. The thief also broke windows out of a vehicle parked at the business, he said.
