The Athens State University Community band, along with special guests Athens Community Chorus, presented their annual Christmas concert Sunday afternoon and Monday evening at Athens State University. Under the direction of Dan Havely, the band and chorus entertained with selections including Children’s March “Over the Hills and Far Away,” “Sleigh Ride,” “Midnight in Bethlehem,” “The Christmas Song,” “Children of the Regiment,” “Christmas Music for Winds and Voices,” “Three Noels,” Irving Berlin’s “Christmas,” and “Stars and Stripes for Christmas.” The Athens State University Alumni Association hosted a reception for guests in Founders Hall following the Sunday afternoon performance.
