Alabama teen dies after shots fired into vehicle
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — An Alabama teen has died after shots were fired into the vehicle in which he was riding from a passing car.
Birmingham police say a man drove to a police station shortly before 1 a.m. Thursday and told officers the passenger in his car had been hit by gunfire. First responders went to the police station and declared 18-year-old Carltez Clark of Birmingham dead.
Sgt. Johnny Williams told news outlets that investigators learned Clark was in a car when a male suspect in a black car pulled up beside the teen and shot into his car.
Clark told the driver to head to a police station.
No arrests have been made.
Police think this was a random shooting.
