Calhoun to offer free manufacturing, construction camps

Those interested in a career in the manufacturing or construction industries may want to sign up for boot camps being offered at Calhoun Community College.

The camps, which begin June 18, will be held on Calhoun’s Decatur campus. They are being presented by the school’s Adult Education and Workforce Solutions departments.

There is no charge to attend the camps.

“Those enrolled in this program will learn skills (that) will improve their chances of being successfully employed in the manufacturing industry,” said Courtney Taylor, Calhoun’s director of Workforce Solutions.

She added students in the program will also participate in the Ready to Work programs and WorkKeys testing at the college.
