Mildred Catherine Chittam

The funeral for Mildred Catherine Chittam, 79, of Athens will be at 2 p.m. today at Spry Funeral Home with Kevin Harbin officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Chittam died Sunday, March 14, 2010, at home.

She was a member of Sunnyhill Church of Christ and was retired from the Tanner High School lunchroom.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Argie Carr; and one great-grandson.

She is survived by her husband, Ray Chittam of Athens; one son, Rickey Chittam of Athens; three daughters, Gayle Crouch and Sharon Agee, both of Athens, and Carol York of Elkmont; one brother, Nick Carr Jr. of Athens; one sister, Frances Hardaway of Elkmont; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Carr, Jeff Carr, Larry Carr, Mike Hardaway, Greg Hardaway and David Blankenship.
