Man stable after being stabbed by ex-girlfriend
A 28-year-old Limestone County man was in stable condition in Huntsville Hospital Monday after being stabbed at the home of his ex-girlfriend earlier in the day.
Courtney Johnson, of Cottonpatch Trailer Park, was taken to the hospital after he was stabbed following an argument, said Limestone County Investigator Stanley McNatt.
“The ex-girlfriend told our investigators that he broke in on her and she remembers swinging a knife at him, but she did not know if she actually stabbed him,” McNatt said Monday. “When we tried to question him about it, he refused to talk to us. We will go back over to the hospital Tuesday to try and talk to him again about it.”
McNatt said the ex-girlfriend lives on the 16000 block of Ft. Hampton Road. He said the incident was reported to police at approximately 1:30 a.m.
McNatt said no charges have been filed, but the investigation is continuing.
