Man shot in head outside Huntsville restaurant
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) — Huntsville police are investigating a late-night shooting that left one man wounded in the head outside a fast food restaurant.
WHNT-TV reports that a bullet fired by a gunman grazed the skull of Byron Hawkins just after 11 p.m. Sunday outside a Taco Bell.
Hawkins told police that he was going into the restaurant when three men approached him and asked to buy his watch. The victim said that when he refused, one of the suspects broke the watch and shot him in the head.
The victim was taken to Huntsville Hospital and was expected to survive.
