Man arrested for shooting stepson in Center Point
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — A Jefferson County man has been arrested for allegedly shooting his stepson.
Lt. Randy Christian of the Sheriff’s department said Herman Glanton turned himself in Sunday afternoon at the Center Point substation.
Glanton was charged with first-degree assault and was being held on a $10,000 bond.
Christian said Willie Beaver, the stepson, walked into the substation and told deputies he had been shot in the buttocks. He was taken to UAB Hospital where he was listed in good condition.
No motive was given.
