ATV crash in Alabama leaves man dead, woman injured
An all-terrain vehicle crash in Alabama has left a 20-year-old man dead and a 20-year-old woman injured.
The Times Daily quotes Lauderdale County officials as saying the crash happened early Saturday.
County deputy coroner Mike Bishop pronounced Jackson Samuel Newton dead at the scene. Brooklyn Thompson was being treated at a hospital for several broken bones and a collapsed lung. The other three passengers in the Polaris Ranger were not hurt.
Deputies say the ATV flipped over in a field near the intersection of two county roads.
The County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
