Genealogical society to host appraisal event

Those who have old items that could be valuable treasures may have them appraised next week as part of “Genealogy Antique Roadshow” at the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library.

Residents can bring no more than two items and they will be appraised by Dr. George Marchelos, time permitting. The event is being hosted by the Tennessee Valley Genealogical Society.

It will be held on the first floor meeting room of the library, 915 Monroe St., Huntsville. All are welcome and advanced registration is not required.

TVGS is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting interest in genealogical research.

Membership is open to anyone with a genuine interest in research, novice and expert alike
