• Fish fry fundraiser. Pettusville United Methodist Church will hold a fish fry fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 22. A meal includes fish, slaw, hush puppies, fries, dessert and drink. Dine in or carry out at $10 a plate The church is three miles north of Lockes Crossroads on Pettusville Road. Proceeds go toward the church building fund.

• Swamp John’s. Tanner United Methodist Church, at 19607 Huntsville-Browns Ferry Road, will hold a Swamp John’s from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, April 27. Plates are $11 and include fish, chicken, shrimp, fries, slaw, hush puppies and tea. The church homemade baked goods sale will also be held from 4-7 p.m.

• Men’s Conference. Round Island Baptist Creek Missionary Baptist Association will hold a Men’s Conference “Preparing Men for the 21st Century Challenges” Friday and Saturday, April 28-29. Guest speakers are Dr. Creigs Beverly, Lester Jones and Dr. Will Boyd. Admission is $20. Continental breakfast at 8 a.m. Workshop sessions from 9 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Lunch at noon. • Relay for Life concert. Little Ezekiel Missionary Baptist Church, at 16439 Lindsay Road, Tanner, will hold its annual Relay for Life Concert featuring the MTM Unity Choir and the Little Ezekiel Gospel-Reunion and Junior-Reunion choirs at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 29. Free admission. Offerings accepted. Proceeds benefit Athens-Limestone Relay for Life and American Cancer Society.

• Harvest Sunday. Evangelist Junior Hill will speak at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, April 30, at Clements Baptist Church, 8690 U.S. 72 West in Athens.

• Luncheon and singing. Holt Road Baptist Church, at Holt and Persell roads, will hold a luncheon and singing, featuring Piney Creek, beginning at noon Sunday, April 30. Regular worship is at 11 a.m. More information: 256-232-6160.

• Revival. North Athens Church of Christ will hold its Spring Gospel Revival from April 30 through May 4 featuring guest speaker Harold Wells, the pulpit minister of Newcomb Street Church of Christ in Decatur. Revival times are 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 30 and 7 nightly May 1-4. The theme is “The Power Within Us.”
