Orientation and open house schedules for local students (print copy)

This week, schools across the county will have various orientations, open houses and meet the teacher events.

Aug. 2

Limestone County Elementary Schools — 4-6 p.m.

Lindsay Lane Christian Academy — 6 p.m.; main campus auditorium

Aug. 4

Athens Middle School schedule pickup — 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.; sixth-grade office (Grade 6, along with vaccination cards due) & main office (Grades 7, 8)

Limestone County High Schools — 4-6 p.m.

FAME Academy at Brookhill Elementary — 4-5 p.m. (Grades 2-4), 5:30-6:30 (Grades K, 1)

iAcademy at Athens Elementary — 4:30-5:30 p.m. (First Class Pre-K), 5:30-7 p.m. (Eagles Nest and K-3)

HEART Academy at Julian Newman Elementary — 5 p.m. (Grades K, 1), 6:30 p.m. (Grades 2, 3)

Athens Middle School orientation — 5-6 p.m. (Grade 6), 6:30-7:30 p.m. (Grades 7, 8); main gymnasium, follow schedules to classrooms

SPARK Academy at Cowart Elementary — 5:30 p.m. (Grades K, 2), 6:45 (Grades 1, 3)

Athens High School — 6:30 p.m.; Athens Performing Arts Center

Aug. 6

Limestone County Schools — 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.; Wellness Park

This event is meant to bridge the gap between education, skills, and the workforce. There will be school supply giveaways, free food, festivities, and family fun.

Aug. 8

Athens Intermediate School — 5:30-6:30 p.m. (Grade 4), 7-8 p.m. (Grade 5); classrooms and gymnasium

A Kona Ice truck will be on site, and parents can sign up for PTO or to be a classroom volunteer, as well as purchase a family PTO membership. Families can order SGA t-shirts and turn in student planner money.
