Calhoun to host instant admission day

Students interested in attending Calhoun Community College this fall are being urged to participate in the school’s upcoming instant admission day.

The day is an annual event for current or prospective students. While on campus, students and parents have an opportunity to meet college advisors, apply for admission, complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) forms online, schedule or take placement exams and register for fall classes.

“Anyone who applies to Calhoun who has graduated or obtained their GED will be instantly admitted on Instant Admission Day,” said Ashley Robison, recruitment coordinator. “We have streamlined the admissions process to serve as a one-stop shop day for prospective college students.”

Those wishing to fill out financial aid forms should bring a current photo ID and 2017 tax forms.

Sessions will be held on the Huntsville and Decatur campuses from 1-5:30 p.m. Decatur events will be at the Chasteen Student Services Center, while Huntsville events will be in the grand foyer of Building 1.

Instant admission days are as follows:

• Saturday, July 13;

• Tuesday, July 16;

• Tuesday, July 23;

• Saturday, July 27;
