County arrests

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests Saturday, Sunday and Monday:

• Vincent Pinedo Arteaga, 39, of 12937 Elk River Mills Road, Elkmont, third-degree domestic violence (assault)

• Jerry Gunnar Hand, 21, of 115 Hammons St., Athens, four counts possession of a controlled substance and one count illegal possession of prescription drugs

• Jeffrey Craig Hardaway, 28, of 26500 Red Hill Hollow Road, Elkmont, reckless endangerment and violating a domestic violence protection order (warrant)

• Joshua Lee Byrd, 43, of 27992 Wooley Springs Road, Athens, harassment

• David Ross Long, 46, of 27273 Gatlin Road, Ardmore, first-degree theft and possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine (grand jury indictment)

• Jeffery Allen Lovell, 45, of 17410 Morris Road, Lot I, Elkmont, driving under the influence – controlled substances

• Amanda Mae McCurry, 27, of 208 Campbell Drive, Athens, possession of a controlled substance (warrant Limestone County Community Corrections Program)

• Marcus Daniel Milam, 34, of 14344 Fox Hollow Road, Harvest, DUI – alcohol and speeding

• Dave Allen Roper, 38, of 18414 Alabama 99, Athens, DUI – alcohol

• Kevin Matthew Kali, 32, of 14949 Holt Springer Road, Athens, DUI – alcohol, driving wrong way on a one-way road and driving while license suspended (probation violation)

• Hunter Chase Schmilding, 26, of 29906 Oliver Road, Ardmore, third-degree domestic violence – menacing – knife

• Michael Shane Woodson, 49, of 1255 Audubon Lane, Athens, third-degree domestic violence – harassment (warrant)

County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported the following thefts Saturday, Sunday and Monday:

• ATHENS — Medications valued at $55 stolen Aug. 16, 14000 block U.S. 72

• ATHENS — Car tag valued at $27.25 stolen Aug. 16 or 17, 14000 block Cambridge Lane

• ELKMONT — Red Honda Rancher TRX350 valued at $4,500, stolen Aug. 15 or 16, 26000 block Alabama 127

• MADISON — Laser level NRL 800X valued at $945 stolen between July 20 and Aug. 18, 29000 block U.S. 72

• ATHENS — 2004 maroon Chevrolet Crossfire valued at $4,500, stolen March 25, 26000 block U.S. 72 (reported Aug. 18)

• ATHENS — Stand-up toolbox, floor jack, three bottle jacks, bicycle, hand truck and stand-up jack, total $890, stolen during burglary between Aug. 16 and 18, 22000 block Pine Road

• ATHENS — Burial policy paperwork of unknown value stolen between Aug. 14 and 18, 21000 block Piney Chapel Road

• ELKMONT — Fire pit metal, patio umbrella and stand, total $150, stolen Aug. 19, 15000 block Fort Hampton Road

• ATHENS — Two Samsung television sets, TCL TV, Keurig coffee maker, coffee holder, Yeti tumblers, Swiss backpack, dishes, electronics and 2006 motorcycle, total $3,390, stolen during burglary between Aug. 15 and 19, 27000 block Capshaw Road

• ATHENS — Mossberg .243-caliber rifle valued at $250 stolen between July 15 and Aug. 19, 25000 block Kingston Drive

The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Saturday, Sunday and Monday:

• Christopher Michael Thomas, 43, of 14830 Grubbs Road, Athens, probation revocation

• Brett Kirkland Burks, 23, of 15482 McCormick Lane, Athens, third-degree criminal mischief

• Christopher Shawn Gross, 44, of 611 Larry Circle, Madison, third-degree domestic violence – harassment

• Amber Caroline Gregory, 26, of 324 Cardinal Drive, Apt. 25, Decatur, third-degree possession of a forged instrument

• Christopher Jester McClain, 41, of 1814 Elkton St., Athens, domestic violence by strangulation or suffocation

• Kris Newman Gallen, 34, of 1002 Henry Drive, Athens, public intoxication

• Brandy Nicole Mayfield, 43, of 12676 Mayfield Road, Athens, probation revocation – DUI

• Jason David Keeton, 33, of 209 Southwind Drive, Apt. 36, Athens, attempting to elude police officer, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia (second offense) and possession of a controlled substance

The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts and incidents Saturday, Sunday and Monday:

• Mobile telephone valued at $49 stolen Aug. 19, Walmart at 1011 U.S. 72 East

• Ribeye steak valued at $10.53 stolen Aug. 17, Walmart at 1011 U.S. 72 East

• Alabama Crimson Tide sunglasses, Thirty-One thermal bag and Black & Decker tool set, total $225, stolen during vehicle break-in Aug. 17, 1000 block Levert Avenue

• Alabama ID card, Febreeze fabric refresher – pets, deodorant and straw rolls, total $16.95, stolen Aug. 17, 700 block South Clinton Street

• $567.39 stolen between Aug. 2 and 10, 100 block East Market Street (reported Aug. 20)

• Polytrim, Black & Decker gasoline hedge trimmer and Bostic staple gun, total $480, stolen between July 20 and Aug. 9, 500 block Coleman Avenue (reported Aug. 20)

• One steak and 10 packages of Wright bacon, total $126, stolen Aug. 20, Hometown Grocery, 608 S. Jefferson St.
