Woman accused of using forged prescription
An Athens woman has been charged after allegedly using a fake prescription to procure a controlled substance at a Decatur CVS Pharmacy, according to a press release from the Decatur Police Department.
Officers were dispatched Tuesday to CVS at 812 Beltline Road and made contact with the pharmacist after a female attempted to pass a forged prescription for a controlled substance, the release said.
“Investigator (Miles) Livingston with the Vice/Narcotics Unit was notified and responded to CVS,” the release said. “The female in question was identified as Casey Lovell Little of Athens.”
Little, 35, of 20960 Cairo Hollow Road, is charged with attempting to commit a controlled substance crime. She was transported to the Morgan County Jail, where bond was set at $1,000.
