The News Courier will publish, free of charge, death notices including the name, age and city of residence of the deceased, date and place of death, and time and place of funeral service and visitation. Family members may express themselves in a eulogy, list survivors and give detailed biographical information about the deceased in a paid obituary. Leroy Coulter

The graveside service for Leroy Coulter, 81, of Dauphin Island will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Gatlin Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2 p.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr. Coulter died Friday, May 5, 2006, at home.



Frances Evalyn Scott

The graveside service for Frances Evalyn Scott, 79, of Athens will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Roselawn Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Thackerson officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Monday at McConnell Funeral Home.

Ms. Scott died Friday, May 5, 2006, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.

She was born July 26, 1926, in Athens, to George Robert Scott Sr. and Virgie Ruth Allred Scott. She was a lifelong resident of Limestone County. She graduated from Tanner High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Athens State College. She retired from Redstone Arsenal after 35 years. She had a special love for her animals. Instead of flowers, make donations to the Humane Society.

She is survived by two brothers, George Robert Scott Jr. of Tanner and Clyde D. Scott of Tuscaloosa; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Margaret Scott Bell.

Pallbearers will be Bradly Wallace, Dexter Crow, Jay Crow, Stephen Scott, Scott Galbraith, David Scott and Anthony Woods.



Ruby Mae Hargrove

Ruby Mae Hargrove, 78, of Athens, died Saturday, May 6, 2006, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at Spry Funeral Home. Further arrangements will be announced.
