Tau chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa to celebrate 60th anniversary Tuesday

The Tau chapter of honorary teacher sorority Alpha Delta Kappa is inviting current and former members to celebrate the sorority’s 60th anniversary.

A celebration will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, at the Rodgers Center of First Presbyterian Church in Athens. Sandy Frazier, president of Alpha Delta Kappa of Alabama, will attend.

The Tau chapter was established in April 1957. Throughout the years, it has awarded scholarships to high school seniors and college students majoring in education.

• Volunteering at the Hospice Chili Challenge;

• Buying gifts for DHR clients at Christmas;

• Purchasing books for the Boys & Girls Club;
