Charles Atlee Baugher
The funeral for Charles Atlee Baugher, 81, of Harvest was Monday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Dan Anderson officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Baugher died Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Hillside Hospital in Pulaski, Tenn.
He was a member of East Highland Baptist Church and a retired TV repairman.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Hargrove Baugher of Harvest; a son, Darrell Anerton and wife, Ann, of Tonney; three grandchildren, Christi Derrick of Athens and Tara Anerton and Christopher Anerton, both of Toney; great-grandchildren, Briana Carroll and and Riley Derrick, both of Athens; two sisters, Sarah Jowers and husband, Jerry, of Athens, and Louise Griffin and husband, Neal, of Ardmore; three brothers, Clifton Baugher and wife, Irene, of Harvest, Chester Baugher and wife, Sue, of Rogersville, and Melvin Baugher and wife, Bobbie, of Athens; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Baugher, Tommy Baugher, John Baugher, Timmy Baugher, Mike Baugher and Brett Robinson.

Edward E. Knappenberger
Graveside service for Edward Edward Knappenberger, 73, of Athens will be 11 a.m. today at Cooks Cemetery in Eva with Spry Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Knappenberger died Friday, April 13, 2007, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
A.W. Moyers Jr.
The funeral for A.W. Moyers Jr., 85, of Athens, will be at 11 a.m. today at Tanner United Methodist Church with Eric Bell officiating and McConnell Funeral Home directing. Burial was in Tanner Cemetery in Tanner.
Visitation was 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Moyers died Saturday, April 14, 2007, at his residence.
Mr. Moyers was born April 9, 1922, in Limestone County to A.W. Moyers Sr. and Pinkie Beatrice Stewart Moyers. He was preceded in death by his wife Lula Bell Moyers. He was a member of Tanner United Methodist Church. He retired from Monsanto after many years of service and served in the Navy Sea Bee during World War II. He is survived by two sons, Billy Wayne Moyers and his wife, Janie, of Lester, and Glen David Moyers and his wife, Vikki, of Athens; daughter, Jackie Elaine Harvey and her husband, James, of Athens; daughter, Linda Kay Roberts and her husband, Montie Sr., of Lillian; sister-in-law, Audrey Moyers, of Athens and sister-in-law, Lee Moyers, of Goodlettsville, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Montie Roberts Jr., Perry Yeager, Tommy Page, Tim Moyers, David Moyers and Blake Page.
Robert Mason Overstreet
The funeral for Robert Mason Overstreet, 83, of Athens will be 2 p.m. today at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Overstreet died Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
He was a World War II Navy veteran and retired from Combustion Engineers. He was a 32-Degree Mason and a Shriner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Overstreet, and a daughter, Diane Overstreet.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Kyle and husband, Wade, and Rose Moss and husband, Donnie, all of Athens; three grandchildren, Kelly Colwell of Prospect, Tenn., Bryan Gould of Huntsville, and Katie Moss of Athens; three great-grandchildren, Tessa Leann Colwell, James “P.J.” Colwell and Damien “Turtle” Colwell, all of Prospect, Tenn.
Pallbearers will be Paul Kellum, Dennis Brown, Brad Green, Josh Buchanan, Joe Clem and Donnie Moss.
Lois Patterson Thornton
The funeral for Lois Patterson Thornton, 83, of Athens will be 3 p.m. today at McConnell Funeral Home with the Rev. David Palmer and the Rev. Jaina Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thornton died Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
She was born July 7, 1923, in Limestone County to Reid Foster Patterson and Era Smith Patterson. She graduated from Clements High School in 1942. Mrs. Thornton retired from the state of Alabama in 1991. She then began her work as a volunteer for Athens-Limestone Hospital. Mrs. Thornton was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Thornton; one son, Douglas Thornton; and one brother , Robert Patterson.
Survivors include two daughters, Anna Talley and Bonnie Chambers, both of Athens; son-in-law, Rodney Talley, of Athens; a sister, Jean Owens of Athens; two brothers, Glenn Patterson of Athens and Herbert Patterson of Lynnfield, Mass.; four grandchildren, Jason Talley of Crossville, Tenn., Kerri Beth Talley of Scottsboro, Reid Chambers of Auburn and Evan Chambers of Tuscaloosa; one great-grandchild, Mikayla Talley; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Reid Chambers, Evan Chambers, Jason Talley, Rodney Talley, Eli Christopher and Joey Jackson.
