Ace in the Hole
On Saturday, Jan. 5th, Adalyn Pike aced the third hole at Canebrake Golf Club from the ladies’ tee. She hit a 5 iron from 121 yards to claim her first ever hole in one. Her father Andy Pike, grandfather Daryl Brooks, and two friends, David and Liam Hooten, were all present to witness the accomplishment. Adalyn, a fourth grader at Athens Intermediate School, is the daughter of Andy and Austin Pike from Athens. Adalyn has been playing golf since age 2, and started competing on the U.S. Kids Golf Tour at age 7. In 2018, she qualified for the third time to play in the World Golf Championship to take place in Pinehurst, North Carolina. In August, Adalyn will represent Alabama in the 10-year-old girls U.S. Kids World Championship Division.
