An 18-year-old Huntsville man was arrested Monday by Madison police in connection to a weekend shooting of four people at a Madison motel, according to a press release.

Amari Tivon Hurt has been charged with attempted murder and first-degree burglary.

The shooting occurred early Sunday at the Country Inn and Suites on Westchester Road. At least one of the victims had a life-threatening injury, according to published media reports.

Hurt was booked into the Madison County Jail following his arrest. Bond was set at $150,000.

Madison police are continuing to investigate the case.
