Police identify man shot to death at Birmingham business
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Police have released the name of a man found dead at an Alabama business.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office told Al.com the dead man was 39-year-old Adrian Deon Johnson.
Birmingham police officers were called to an auto detail business on Christmas Eve morning. They say Johnson had attended a party the previous night at the business.
A friend had returned to the shop Monday morning and found Johnson unresponsive about 9 a.m. and called police. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not said how Johnson died.
But Sgt. Johnny Williams said detectives found evidence that led them to rule the death a homicide. No arrests have been announced.
