Tanner’s Latraius Mosley scores 49 against Clements to set school record

Chris Whitt is still in the process of trying to get his Tanner boys basketball team healed from football injuries. But in the mean time Latraius Mosley has taken things into his own hands.
Monday night, he set a school record by scoring 49 points in the Rattlers 80-67 win over Clements. In addition, he also made 17-of-35 shots from the field and hit 10 points from the 3-point range, which also was another school record.
Anthony Kingston set the old record with 47 points in a 1989 game. Demarcus King, set the old 3-point record with nine two years ago.
Matthew Hines added 11 points for the Rattlers, while Jordan Lee added eight rebounds.
For Clements, Seth Bachelor had 23 points. Luke Moore chipped in with 13 points and Brandon Sanderfer added 10.
Boys
Lee 70, East Limestone 60
Mario Matthews scored 16 points to lead East Limestone as they dropped their second game of the season.
Daniel Tucker contributed with 14 points while London Brandon chipped in with 13.
Leonardo Davis led Lee with 20 points.
The Indians host Athens Friday night.
Girls
Clements 59, Tanner 46
The Clements High varsity girls’ basketball team picked up a 59-46 win over Tanner Monday night.
Chelsea Haggermaker paced the Lady Colts with 22 points. DaNeshia Malone added 18 points and 11 rebounds.
For Tanner, Sierra Sales had 12 points and Deidra Troupe scored 11.
Athens 44, Dalton, Ga. 35
LeCresha Horton led the Athens High varsity girls’ basketball team with 23 points in their win over Dalton, Ga in the Martin Methodist Tournament over the weekend.
Elizabeth Schexnayder chipped in with seven points and Kajonica Hankins added six.
