Athens wrestling places among 6A competition

The Athens Wrestling team recently competed at the AHSAA State Competition. Multiple team members placed within their own weight class, including Will Anderson who was named State Champion.
Will Anderson — 6A STATE CHAMPION 132 lbs
Austin Campbell — 4th Place 138 lbs
Isaiah Unger — 5th Place 160 lbs
Gunner Birdsong — 5th Place 145 lbs
Lakin Poff — 6th Place 106 lbs
The team came in 8th in state for the 6A division.
